THE PLEIADES star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, is a group of stars in the constellation Taurus. In Greek mythology, the Pleiades were the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas and the sea-nymph Pleione. They were transformed into stars by Zeus to protect them from the pursuit of the giant Orion. The Pleiades were also associated with the goddess Artemis, who was known as the protector of young girls and women.

In many cultures, the Pleiades were seen as a symbol of harmony, unity, and togetherness. They were often associated with agricultural cycles, as their rising and setting helped to mark the seasons. The Pleiades were also believed to have a spiritual significance, and were often used for divination and astrological purposes.

The connection between the celestial nature of the Pleiades and this rich, luxurious Cobalt blue-and-Onyx black pairing is palpable. The intense cobalt color recalls the beauty of many bright blue stars, while the supporting Onyx black suggests the mystery and endlessness of the universe...

This fabric is endowed with a figured Victorian oval pattern that measures just 1” x 1” with a 1” repeat! 54” wide! It was designed by and produced just for us, so you cannot find it anywhere else!
