5 of 5 Absolutely gorgeous fabric! December 8, 2020

I bought a small swatch of this fabric before I bought my yardage just to see the color of it. I loved the slight black iridescence and how rich the shade of navy is! I will say that the texture of the fabric is nicer on the full yardage (it's nice to feel it with the whole hand), but the black iridescence is more prominent. While that was not the look I was going for for my project, I won't dock any stars. It might be just what someone else is looking for!

I made a really fantastic 1890s hat with this silk. It is a deep moody blue, cool toned. Very rich looking. This color is extremely versatile. It would make a lovely understated but rich looking dress or jacket. Either modern or historical. Perfect for a seaside evening wedding, bridesmaids or mother of the bride. Elegant.
