The anthemion is an artistic design motif consisting of a number of radiating flower petals. It was developed by the Ancient Greeks, who borrowed it from the Egyptians, and was used to ornament pottery and architecture. Our adaptation of this gorgeous motif arrives in the form of a velvet burnout on chiffon base: the flowers and petals are teal blue and burgundy, accents are olive green, and the base is a taupe-y olive.
