This unflappable solid orange is named after the spicy chili pepper that contains more than ONE HUNDRED TIMES the heat of a classic jalapeño! Originating in the Amazon rainforest and then spreading throughout South and Central America, the habanero's heat, flavor, and floral aroma make it a popular ingredient in hot sauces and other spicy foods!

The chili is named in honor of the Cuban city of Havana, where it was traded heavily in mercantile markets and then disseminated by Spanish colonists to other areas of the world over many years during the 18th century!
