Scheherazade is storyteller in the Middle Eastern tale “One Thousand and One Nights.” She is the young bride of the Sultan who has decided to take a new wife every day and have her executed the next morning because a previous wife cheated on him. But it all stops when Scheherazade tells him stories every night for 1,001 nights in order to avoid being killed. Her extraordinary ability to spin yarns ultimately saves many other young women from this terrible fate…
